Our Beliefs
We believe in the Father, Son and Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary who suffered under Pontius Pilate was crucified, died, and was buried; He descended to the dead, but on the third day he rose again; He ascended into Heaven and is seated at the right hand of the Father and will come again to judge the living and the dead.
We believe in the Holy Spirit, The Holy Christian church, The communion of the Saints, The Forgiveness of Sins, The Resurrection of the Body, and the life everlasting.
Vision Statement:
Holy Redeemer Lutheran Church is a community of believers committed to praising Jesus Christ our Savior. Because of Christ’s love we can reach out to all and welcome all into the family of God. Our worship service consists of song, prayers, and word as we share the incredible message from our Lord. We know that God is powerful and its because of grace and mercy we know and believe everything is possible.
Guiding Beliefs:
As a Reconciling in Christ congregation, we welcome all people regardless of sexual orientation or gender identity. Additionally, we are a multigenerational group that values the perspectives and experiences of all who come together with us. Holy Redeemer is a safe place and our campus is open to all groups because Jesus welcomed all and so do, we!
Through Grace We are Saved:
Our Lutheran beliefs tell us that through our faith in Jesus Christ, we are all given the gift of salvation. God recognized that we are inherently flawed beings, but because of God’s endless mercy for us, God sacrificed Jesus for our sake. It is by this grace that God forgives us all our sins and grants us eternal life. Our faith alone justifies us.
Faith Based-Action:
The Bible abounds with the examples of individuals standing up for what is right. We believe in living out our faith in word and deed and so take part in fighting for justice locally, nationally, and globally. Amongst our many causes, we are involved in campaigns against homelessness, mental health and human trafficking.
Sharing the Love of God:
Everything we have belongs to God. So, we share this love to others by different means. That is done by our financial support to various missionary groups and to our sister churches in aiding homelessness and hunger. We volunteer our time and skills in our food bank weekly. It is our desire to show love by giving ourselves to help others less fortunate. We are quite blessed to share with others what God has so generously given us.
